Plasma Pen / Fibroblasting

Plasma Pen by Louise Walsh International is a medical device used to perform “fibroblasting” to help treat wrinkles and skin laxity with incredible precision throughout the face and neck - even upper eyelids!

It can be used as a stand-alone treatment or in conjunction with other services such as Botox/Dysport and dermal fillers for even better results.

Treatment areas include: upper eyelids, below the eyes, crow’s feet, forehead lines, frown lines, jowls/marionette lines, chin/mental crease, nasolabial folds, vertical lip lines, smile lines/cheeks and neck.

As we age our dermal layer thins, less collagen is produced, and elastin fibers wear out causing the skin to wrinkle, sag and lose elasticity. Non-invasive and non-surgical “fibroblasting” using the Plasma Pen helps dramatically repair, reverse and mitigate these effects.

When the Plasma Pen is held at the right distance from the skin, it ionizes oxygen and nitrogen in the air to create a small electrical plasma arc, similar to a tiny lightning bolt. When the arc hits the skin, small micro-traumas occur and the epidermis instantly contracts. Simultaneously, the Plasma flash penetrates to the fibroblasts contained within the dermis below stimulating accelerated division and migration of collagen cells.

Numerous micro-crusts will quickly form over the treated areas and flake off in 7-10+ days. You must NOT wear any makeup during this time or have any sun exposure. You may also experience mild to moderate erythema and swelling, especially if having the delicate skin around the eyes treated. New collagen and elastin will continue to form in the dermis over the next few months, providing a further skin tightening effect. On average, 1-3 treatments are needed, and results often last up to 2-3 years. Individual results will vary based on your age, skin condition and skin type.
