Melissa Magyar, R.N. considers herself an artist and skincare humanitarian, helping restore youth and health back to aging and damaged complexions. Melissa has been working as a nurse in aesthetic medicine since February 2008.
As a nurse and certified specialist, under the medical directorship of Dr. Christopher Tolan, Melissa provides aesthetic consultations and medical injections including Botox / Dysport for wrinkles, lip augmentation for facial enhancement and smoothing lip wrinkles, Kybella for submental fat, Platelet Rich Plasma Therapy (PRP) for facial rejuvenation, as well as “Fibroblasting” using the Plasma Pen for wrinkles and skin laxity. She also provides micro-needling for improving overall skin quality and clarity.
Melissa graduated from the University of Minnesota Duluth with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in 2003. She worked as a marketing assistant for a prestigious dance theater in London, England, followed by a small publishing company in the twin cities until a visit to a dermatologist for her own skin inspired her to go back to school for nursing. She completed the Licensed Practical Nursing Program in December 2007, and obtained an Associate of Science Degree in Nursing in December 2012. She has also attended the Syneron Candela Institute for Excellence and National Laser Institute, the most comprehensive professional training schools for laser and medical aesthetics, becoming a Certified Laser Technician.

Christopher Tolan, M.D.
MEDICAL DIRECTOR
Christopher Tolan, M.D. is a dedicated, board-certified facial plastic and reconstructive surgeon. Dr. Tolan graduated from the University of Minnesota Medical School and completed his residency in Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery at the University of Minnesota Hospitals and Clinics. Following residency, Dr. Tolan completed a fellowship in facial plastic and reconstructive surgery at the University of California – Davis Medical Center in Sacramento, California. Dr. Tolan has received board certification from The American Board of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery and the American Board of Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery.
Dr. Tolan is a member of the American Society of Laser Medicine and the American Academy of Cleft and Craniofacial Surgery. He is a regional leader, serving as an educator lecturing and instructing physicians and other health care providers on the most up to date techniques for use of injectable fillers and BOTOX®. He has also appeared on television and on the radio and has served as a consultant and educator for several large pharmaceutical companies.
While in medical school, Dr. Tolan became interested in plastic surgery after observing children who had undergone repair of congenital facial deformities, such as cleft lip and palate. Dr. Tolan decided to dedicate his training in residency, fellowship and clinical practice to reconstructive and cosmetic surgery of the face and neck. Locally and internationally, he performs cleft lip and palate surgery, and he has and continues to participate yearly in many medical mission trips, providing surgical cleft care.
