In the 6th grade some boys on a whim passed around a ballet asking who they thought was the ugliest girl in the class. It was unanimous, a shy little girl named Missy won the vote. She went through a growth spurt and towered over the boys; her mom thought a tight perm was a good look for her and dressed her in multi-colored tights with matching turtle necks on a daily basis. Missy had deep set eyes, acne and a rather large gap in between her front teeth. The boys in the class called her, “The Ugly Duckling.” There was another girl in the class with the same first and last name who was referred to as the pretty one and Missy the ugly one. When teasing wasn’t enough, some of the boys found it amusing to sneak up behind Missy and poke her in the rear end with tacks.
So what happened to this little girl, you might ask? How does the story end?
