Skin Rejuvenation

Skin Rejuvenation laser treatments reduce age spots and brown discoloration caused by sun damage, as well as improve fine lines, enlarged pores and skin texture.

This non-invasive treatment is used to help improve several signs of photoaging simultaneously.

This technology is safe, and delivers fast, effective results with little recovery time. Unlike deeper chemical peels and other resurfacing treatments, Skin Rejuvenation is non-invasive, producing younger and healthier looking skin without disrupting the skin’s epidermal surface.

Treatments are performed using the GentleMax Pro Laser, which delivers a specific wavelength of laser light and heat into several layers of the skin, stimulating the cells beneath the skin’s surface to eliminate injured tissue and dead skin cells.

Each treatment can be tailored to each patient’s individual skin type and condition. During your consultation, your provider will come up with a personalized and targeted treatment plan just for you. Common treatment areas include the face, neck, chest and hands.

Prior to treatment the area needs to be clean, and free of sunburn and self tanners. Following treatment the skin will appear slightly pink to red for 1-2 hours typically. Brown spots and discoloration will darken slightly over the next several days and take on a peppered or “coffee ground” appearance. The discoloration will start to fade away in approximately 1-2 weeks or so, leaving the skin looking luminous and healthy.

The treated areas need to be protected from prolonged sun exposure, especially during the first week. We recommend wearing a broad spectrum sunscreen of SPF 30+ daily. Avoid excessive heat (hot tubs, saunas, vigorous exercise, etc.), shaving, waxing and exfoliants for at least one week following treatment. We also recommend applying cool compresses to the treated area off and on as directed to decrease inflammation and risk for developing blisters. Use mild cleansers and skincare products until skin is healed and no longer sensitive to touch.

On average, 2-3 treatments are recommended, scheduled at three-week intervals. Individual results will vary based on your age, skin condition and skin type.
